Men of the 70th regiment were stationed across the country between 1861 and 1866. With data from the 70th regiment WO86 and WO90 court martial records, the map below provides an insight into the disobedience, disorder, and discipline of the British Army during the regiment’s term of service in New Zealand, plotting court martials for men of the 70th regiment across time and space.
